About Me
I grew up in a village near Kolkata, India. Somewhere during my late high school days, I caught the curiosity for figuring out how nature works. I wasn’t just curious about what happens around us—I wanted to know the “why” behind it all. After finishing my undergrad at Visva-Bharati University which is loacted near my village, I headed to IIT Bombay for a Master’s in Physics. A few years later, I packed my bags for the Czech Republic, where I did my PhD at the Silesian University in Opava, graduating in 2022. Then came a big change of scenery—two years in Japan as a JSPS postdoc at Osaka University. In December 2024, I moved back to Europe and joined the Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics (Albert Einstein Institute) in Potsdam, Germany, where I’m working as a postdoctoral researcher.
Outside the world of equations and simulations, I’m a big fan of outdoor sports activity like football and tennis. I love music, hiking, exploring new landscapes, and experiencing the many “faces” of the world through travel. I love meeting people, enjoying good conversation, hanging out with friends, and soaking in the little joys that come with good company and a bit of adventure.
